I have points on my driving licence, am I able to hire a vehicle from you?

This is dependent on the date and nature of the offence. Please call us as our rental staff will be happy to provide you with full details.

What do your prices include?

Prices include Vat, 24/7 Breakdown, Insurance and a 300 mile a daily allowance, weekly rates include a 1000 miles a week allowance.

Can I leave my car at your premises whilst I hire a vehicle?

Yes, we have limited customer parking available.

Can I drive a 7.5t truck / minibus on my car licence?

Yes, depending on when you passed your driving test. If you passed your test before 01/01/1997 and have category C1/D1, you can drive these vehicles. If you passed after 01/01/1997 then the largest you can drive is a 3.5t Luton van/7 seater people carrier.

Is it possible to cover more than one driver on hire vehicles?

Additional drivers can be added at a cost of £5 per day or £25 per week.

Can hire vehicles be returned out of hours?

Yes we have 24hour returns available on site.

What documents are required to hire a vehicle?

Any person wishing to drive one of our vehicles will be required to produce the following documents on collection:
1 - Driving licence photo card.
2 – National Insurance number OR Dvla code.
3 - Recent Proof of home address.
4 - Debit or credit for deposit to be held against.

Is there a minimum/maximum age for vehicle hires?

Drivers between the age of 21 to 70 can hire vehicles. However, younger or drivers who have held their driving licence for a short period are subject to additional terms and increased insurance excess. Please contact one of our team for clarification.

What time does a hire day run from/to?

A typical hire day is a 24hr period from 8am. However vehicles may be collected the evening before subject to availability.

Do i have to leave a deposit when hiring a vehicle?

A standard deposit of £750 is held against Car, Van and Luton box hires. A higher deposit of £1000 is required for Lorry, Minibus hires and Young drivers

Cancellations

We have a 72 hour cancellation policy, any vehicle cancelled with less than the required notice will incur a 25% cancellation fee.
